Once you have selected these locations, it is important that you find out what you must do prior to becoming a lifeguard. For example, you may be required to take a course that trains you to become a lifeguard, a class that teaches CPR, or even a basic swimming class. Once you find out what criteria must be met, arrange to engage in these activities to ensure that you qualify for the summer job position that you are seeking. 4) Once you are completely trained to get a summer job as a lifeguard, you should start applying for the positions in the locations that you choose.
